Mass Effect was a beautiful game. I'm about 10 hours into Mass Effect 2, and I have almost entirely positive things to say (with the exception of the stupid planet-scanning mini game, which is one of the most obnoxiously tedious things I've ever had to do, considering that you have to pay for the probes and such). The Reapers are such a fantastic, cool and horrifying enemy. Maybe not entirely original, but definitely one of the coolest storylines in any game series.
